Description

The John Beargrease Dog Sled Race raced by and I was able to get some photographs as the teams slowed down to cross the Arrowhead Trail. This is Colleen Wallin and her team passing by. The Beargrease race is named after John Beargrease who delivered mail before there were roads here. This race is the longest dog sled race in the lower 48 and several of the mushers also sled in Alaska for the Iditarod.
