Why did the Grouse cross the road, of course any third grader can tell you, to get to the other side. Sometimes when you approach a Grouse the quickly take off and then there are days one is lucky. Ruffed Grouse can be skittish but not this one it stood there for it's closeup. Loved that the dirt road show off the coloration of this bird. It was my lucky day!
